Prison escapee found in Silver Springs

(Staff reports) - An inmate who walked away from Stewart Conservation Camp in Carson City on Thursday was found hiding in his mother's Silver Springs garage on Tuesday, an official said.

Tommy Bridges, 35, was listed as missing Thursday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. after an informal count of inmates at the camp on Snyder Avenue in South Carson City. He was imprisoned in July 2005 after being convicted of possession of stolen property in Lyon County. He would have been eligible for parole in August when he could have begun serving an additional 12 to 31 months on a burglary charge.

He was last seen by juveniles on Dat-So-La-Lee in the Stewart Indian Colony.

According to Howard Skolnik of the Nevada Department of Corrections, Bridges was apprehended Tuesday by Corrections officials and the Lyon County Sheriff's Department.Bridges mother, Wanda Drake, and brother, James Henry Minor, were charged with concealing an escaped prisoner, a felony. They are each being held on $10,000 bail.
