The Douglas County Sheriff's Mounted Posse will hold its sixth annual Spring Equine Clinic and Tack Sale from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday at the Douglas County Fairgrounds in Gardnerville.

Toastmasters speech contest winners told
The Toastmasters International Area 22 Speech and Evaluation Contest was March 4. International speech winners were: Christine Welter, of the Carson Communicators, in first place, and Ronald Burke, of Kit Carson, in second place. Evaluation winners were Kate Langworthy, of Carson Communicators, in first place; and Robert Rumble, of Tahoe, in second place.
Winners move on to the Division B International Speech and Evaluation Contest from 11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. April 1 at the UNR College of Education, William J. Raggio building. Call 882-0636.
American Business Women Association to meet in Reno
