Funeral services for Margaret "Ruth" Valladao, 83, a 27-year resident of Carson City, will be 2 p.m. Monday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley. Visitation will take place at the time of service.
Mrs. Valladao died March 23, 2006, at Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center. She was born Aug. 22, 1922, in Kersey, Colo., to Jacob Stroh and Catherine Walters.
Before coming to Carson City, she lived in Greeley, Colo., for 14 years.
She married Arthur Valladao on May 2, 1946, in Reno.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed making quilts for her family. She taught Sunday school for 14 years in Chowchilla, Calif., for the Lutheran Church.
She was preceded in death by three brothers and nine sisters.
Among her survivors are her husband of Carson City; son and daughter-in-law Arthur J. and Susan Valladao of Lubbock, Texas; daughter Sheron Valladao of Las Vegas; daughter and son-in-law Margaret and Marty Miller of Eads, Colo.; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Burial will be at Walton's Carson Gardens Cemetery following the service.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
