Mile High Jazz Band celebrates birthday
The Mile High Jazz Band and vocalist Sheryl Adams celebrate the Mile High Jazz Band's fifth anniversary from 8 to 10 p.m. Tuesday at Comma Coffee in Carson City. Anniversary cake will be served.
Admission is $5 at the door, $4 for members of the Mile High Jazz Band Association, and free for those aged 18 and under. Swing dance instruction is available for an extra $5 from 6-7:30 p.m.

Livestock club seeks new members
The Arrowhead Livestock 4-H Club is inviting interested youth to their clinics at the Carson City Fairgrounds from, 5-8 p.m. Tuesdays in April, starting Tuesday.

FAA inspector to speak to aircraft club
The Experimental Aircraft Association chapter 403 invites aviation enthusiasts to its monthly meeting Wednesday at the Carson City Airport Chapter House.

Visitors Bureau holds nature tourism workshops
The Fallon Convention and Visitors Bureau is co-sponsoring two workshops Tuesday for communities interested in learning how wildlife festivals and nature tourism can promote rural economic development.

Silver City discusses meth use at forum
Forum on methamphetamine use, prevention, and recovery at 7 p.m. tonight at the Silver City Volunteer Fire Department on High Street. The focus is on the facts that methamphetamine addiction is preventable and something from which people can recover from.
Silver City's Community Task Force is hosting this event. A main course, beverages and desserts will be provided; participants are asked to bring a side dish. Call 847-4714.
