A memorial Mass will be celebrated for former Incline residents Al and Jane Musalo, both 75, at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church, 1130 Wright St., in Reno.
The retired couple was found shot dead in their Montreux home south of Reno on Tuesday.
Investigation into the nature of the shootings is ongoing. Detectives say they are investigating previous reports of a prowler in southwest Reno for possible clues into the killings of the retired couple.
According to a neighborhood newsletter, residents of nearby Galena reported seeing large footprints in yards and driveways beginning in mid-December. Last month, one resident reported someone knocking on a sliding door at 3:30 a.m., a Reno newspaper reported Friday.
The sheriff's office said similar calls were received from some Montreux residents.
"We are looking at the Galena prowler reports and at a number of other leads, but there's nothing we can talk about at this time," said Deputy Michelle Youngs, spokeswoman for the sheriff's office.
Detectives have said there was no sign of forced entry into the Musalos' home, though some items appeared to be missing.
Montreux is a gated community near a golf course, but authorities said someone could have driven or walked to the home, or climbed a fence in the couple's back yard.
Authorities are looking at who came in and out of the neighborhood, where visitors must check in with security.
