A memorial service for Raymond Fred Trute, 91, a 29-year Gardnerville resident, will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Shepherd of the Sierra Lutheran Church, 3680 Highway 395, Minden.
Mr. Trute died May 3, 2006, at Carson Valley Medical Center. He was born Sept. 21, 1914, in Linn, Kan., to Henry Federick Trute and Emilie D. Ulrich.
Before moving to Gardnerville, he lived in Yuma, Colo.
He was a carpenter and owned a tool and die business.
He was a member of several Lutheran churches.
He was preceded in death by brother Ernest Trute and sisters Frieda Peterson and Martha McKissick.
Among his survivors are his wife, Betty L. Trute of Gardnerville; sons Michael F. Trute of Minden, Barry R. Trute of Sacramento, Brian L. Trute of Gardnerville, Barry Martin of Redlands, Calif., and Dennis Martin of Aumsville, Ore.; 10 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and many extended-family members.
Burial will be at Eastside Memorial Park in Minden.
