The pit gates at the Thunder Bowl Speedway in Moundhouse were open early for Round two of the 2006 Northern Nevada Flat Track TT Championship Series on May 6.

There were more than 110 entries. As in previous years, the number of youth and quad ATV racers continued to increase, with youth racers making up almost 50 percent of all the participants and all quad ATV racers making up more than 60 percent.

The most competive youth race was the 80-90 cc quad ATVs, which were split in to novice and junior classes. Mitchell Menzer was first and Trysten Schlepp was second.

As the market trends towards 450cc+ quad ATVs, the 266cc+ 2-Stroke and 450cc+ 4-Stroke Quads, there were twice as many entries as the previous year's large numbers in the 400-440cc quads ATVs of the 250cc 2-Stroke and 400cc 4-Stroke Quad classes.

In the first lap of the 25 and over Quad Novice main event Reno's Brandy Carmichael had a hard tumble and on the paramedics advice took a helicopter ride to the hospital ending the event. Track owners Charlie and Carol Brandenberg said that after a thorough checkup and CAT scan her husband, Pro Quad rider Shawn Carmichael took her home Sunday afternoon with only bumps and bruises saying "at least she got a break from having to round the kids into the tub after a long night of racing."

As a consequence of having a helicopter land in the middle of the track to end the round two events, the remaining cancelled main events were awarded series points based on heat race finishes. Results are as follows
