Walter D. Campbell, 82, a 15-year Carson City resident, died May 8, 2006, at his home.
Mr. Campbell was born May 21, 1923, in Fairmount, Ind., to Lloyd B. Campbell and Florence R. Hettler.
Before moving to Carson City, he lived in Upland, Calif.
He worked for ITT Gilfillan in Van Nuys, Calif., for 32 years.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Carson City.
He was preceded in death by a brother and three sisters.
Among his survivors are his wife of 58 years, Lorraine Zwart Campbell of Carson City; daughters and sons-in-law Sue and Charlie Millerborn of Redding, Calif., and Jane and Kevin Cooke of Palm Springs, Calif.; daughters Bonnie Woodson of Santa Barbara, Calif., and Sandra Burgess of Piñon Hills, Calif.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Cremation took place at FitzHenry's Crematory.
FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
