Medical center releases calendar
The Carson Tahoe Regional Healthcare Facilities Department made a calendar featuring its workers to raise money for the new Carson Tahoe Cancer Center.
The calendar shows pictures of staff members doing the things they love - such as fishing or riding a motorcycle.
The calendar runs from June 2006-June 2007. Calendars are $15 each.
So far, $1,020 has been collected from the fundraiser.
Once the center is complete, it will be the only free-standing, accredited cancer center in Nevada, and will house all cancer services under one roof.
It is on the Carson Tahoe Medical Campus. Funded entirely by donations, the center is expected to open later this year.
