2006 version of 'Fishing The California Alps' is now available

A 52-page outdoor publication, known as "Fishing The California Alps" has been recently distributed in this area.

This free newspaper, now in its 15th year, is produced by Paul and Gloria Washam of Family Enterprises of nearby Woodfords, Calif.

"Fishing The California Alps" is your 2006 guide to fishing spots, hiking trails, camping opportunities and all kinds of outdoor activities in the nearby High Sierra and many other locales in this greater area. The majority of those areas are in the State of California.

That publication covers a large geographic area all the way from Inyo County on the south to the Sierra Nevada Mountains on the west to Plumas and Sierra Counties to the north and Mineral County in Nevada to the east, with all kinds of locations in between.

Washam said 50,000 copies will be distributed to subscribers, resorts, fishing lodges, convenience stores, sporting goods stores, shops, Chambers of Commerce, Visitor Centers, marina's, motels, hotels, U.S. Forest Service and BLM offices, etc. He also said another 10,000 copies are reserved for the Bridgeport, Calif. Chamber of Commerce to distribute at various sports and outdoor shows. With an average of 2.5 readers per copy, "Fishing The California Alps" reaches about 150,000 persons!
