Dorothy I. Cooke, 79, a 32-year Carson City resident, died May 22, 2006, at Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center.
Ms. Cooke was born Dec. 14, 1926 in Wyndotte, Mich., to Glen L. Cooke and Florence Wentzel.
Before moving to Carson City, Ms. Cooke lived in Las Vegas.
She worked for Bently of Nevada for 15 years.
Ms. Cooke was a member of Capital Quilters, and she enjoyed gardening.
She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
Among her survivors are her daughter and son-in-law Bonnie and Jerry Vivant of Carson City; daughters Kathy Bray of Dayton and Cynthia Splain of Carson City; sister Virginia Meierdiercks of Fayetteville, Ark.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Cremation took place at FitzHenry's Crematory.
FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
