A memorial Mass for Ann Schumacher, 87, a 34-year Carson City resident, will be 11 a.m. Friday at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church.
Mrs. Schumacher died Oct. 26, 2006, in Carson City. She was born July 22, 1919, in Manchester, England to James and Eliza Ogden.
She married Wendell Schumacher on Jan. 27, 1979, in Carson City.
She was raised in Rhode Island and moved to Carson City from Southern California.
She belonged to St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church, was past president of St. Ann's Guild, was a eucharistic minister, a lecture, and a sacristan. She volunteered at the Carson Tahoe Hospital's Auxiliary Gift Shop and was past president of the auxiliary.
She enjoyed singing and dancing in community and senior center shows.
Among her survivors are her husband of Carson City; son and daughter-in-law Russ and Margo Sheltra of Reno; stepsister Marie Shalvey of Warwick, R.I.; four grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation or to St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church.
