A service for Bette Jo Jones, 78, a former Carson City resident, will be 1 p.m. Thursday at FitzHenry's Funeral Home.
Mrs. Jones died Nov. 8, 2006, at her Chico, Calif., home of cancer.
She was born Sept. 15, 1928, in Mount Ida, Ark., to Marion and Muriel Johnson.
She married Roy Jones on Sept. 15, 1946, in Oakland, Calif.
She moved to Carson City in 1974 and later traveled to Europe and Japan after retirement. They later toured the U.S. in their RV.
She was an active member of the Esther Chapter of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years; children Linda and Robert Beveridge of Dayton, Michael and Gale Jones of Las Vegas and Patty and Michael Efford of Chico; sister Lucille Hawthorne of Concord, Calif.; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
