A memorial service for Douglas Marion Cecil, 77, a 40-year Carson City resident, will be 4 p.m. Monday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Saliman Road.
Mr. Cecil died Nov. 4, 2006, in Carson City. He was born Feb. 15, 1929, in Pomona, Calif., to Raymond and Francis (Woodward) Cecil.
He married Bonnie Cecil on Aug. 15, 1954.
Before moving to Carson City, he lived in Gardnerville for 16 years.
Mr. Cecil was a musician.
He was preceded in death by son Anthony Cecil.
Among his survivors are children Raymond Cecil, Michael Cecil, Peggy Matson and Daniel Cecil and Tina Morris, both of Carson City; sister Sally Green; 18 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and a niece and nephew.
Cremation will take place in Walton's Sierra Crematory.
