Five Carson City residents were arrested at about 5 a.m. Thursday morning on charges of trafficking methamphetamine and cocaine.
Detectives working with the Department of Public Safety Tri-Net Narcotics Task Force executed four search warrants at homes on Tiger Drive and Lee Street in Carson City.
The raids resulted in the seizure of 412 grams of methamphetamine valued at $45,000, 80 grams of cocaine valued at $8,000 and approximately $8,000 in cash from the four residences.
The five people arrested were: Alejandro Gonzalez-Sandoval, 23; Juan Lopez-Vargas, 21; Humberto Segura-Terrazas, 36; Jose Contreras-Lopez, 33, and Avena Torres-Yadira, 21.
Immigration and customs enforcement agencies have placed holds on four of the five arrested, pending investigation into their legal status, according to the Nevada Department of Public Safety.
Three children were also placed with Child Protective Services.
The raids were the culmination of a two-month investigation by detectives from Churchill, Douglas and Lyon counties, the Fallon police department and Carson City Sheriff's Department. The arrests came during National Methamphetamine Awareness Day.
