A memorial service for Doris Ann Miller, 71, a 30-year Gardnerville resident, will be 3 p.m. Dec. 9 at the Fish Springs Volunteer Fire Department in Gardnerville.
Mrs. Miller died Nov. 24, 2006, at her home. She was born May 11, 1935, in Riverside, Calif., to John Dee Arnold and Georgia A. Shelton.
Before moving to Gardnerville, she lived in Yucaida, Calif.
She was a high school graduate, and enjoyed gardening, reading, dancing, music and raising horses.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eldon Miller, on Sept. 18, 1994, in Nevada and by daughter Roxann Bennett on Jan. 18, 1985, also in Nevada and mother on Feb. 29, 1990, in California.
Among her survivors are her father; son Randy Bennett; daughter and son-in-law Jody and Bill Hutt; sister Deboraha Chavez; brothers Robert and John Arnold; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Cremation will take place at FitzHenry's Crematory in Carson City.
Memorial donations may be made to an animal shelter of choice.
