Why attend?

"I would want to encourage anyone who lives in Carson City and is interested in the tourism business to attend this workshop because I think it will help all of us understand what we are giving our visitors and if what we're doing is what they want - if we're really living up to the promise."

- Candy Duncan, executive director of the Carson City Convention & Visitors' Bureau

"We have a downtown association that is becoming very proactive at promoting Carson City as a destination and hopefully this tourism assessment will provide them some help. We'll also be seeing some new buildings coming up in downtown and this will give us an idea how tourism is going to be affected by keeping downtown historic."

- Steve Reynolds, owner Sign Pro of Carson City

"My business is tourism so I'll do anything I can do to more streamline my business, to identify my target markets that I'm trying to reach out to."

- Fred Nietz, owner of the

Arlington Group of Carson City
