A graveside service for Ian B. MacKenzie, 85, a 36-year Carson City resident, will be 10 a.m. Oct. 14 at Walton's Carson Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. MacKenzie died Sept. 5, 2006. He was born April 19, 1921, in Port Glasgow, Scotland.
Before moving to Carson City, Mr. MacKenzie lived in Montreal, South Lake Tahoe, and in Southern California.
He was a bartender and had worked at the Sahara, the Ormsby House, and the Golden Spike.
He served in the Royal Canadian Air Force during World War II in Africa.
He enjoyed sunbathing, listening to music, playing tennis, attending tennis tournaments, camping with his family and walking.
He was preceded in death by son Malcolm Kirk; and two wives Madolyn and Nancy.
Among his survivors are daughters Heather MacKenzie Davis of Alhambra, Calif., Sheila MacKenzie Crawford of La Quinta, Calif., Colleen Young Morrison of Canyon Lake, Calif., Autumn Young Stone of Redondo Beach, Calif., and Laci Young of Bermuda Dunes, Calif.; 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Capitol City Cremation is in charge of arrangements.
