A celebration of life for Mimi Neumann, 73, a 14-year Virginia City resident, will be 4-7 p.m. Sunday at her home.
Mrs. Neumann died Oct. 11, 2006, in Carson City. She was born Nov. 13, 1932, in El Paso, Texas, to Ramon Villalva and Anatalia Orosco-Villalva.
She married Warner D. Neumann on May 28, 1979, in Minden.
Before moving to Virginia City, Mrs. Neumann lived in Maplewood, N.J.
She was a high school graduate and a homemaker.
She enjoyed reading, traveling, storytelling and her family.
Among her survivors are her husband of Virginia City; daughters Lorinda Sherer of Santa Rosa, Calif., Robin Sherer-Smith of Everette, Wash., Heidi Sherer-Jonas of Santa Ana, Calif., and Birgit Wright of Emery, Texas; sons Vic Sherer of Virginia City, Aaron Sherer of Placerville, Calif., Adolph Sherer of Santa Maria, Calif., and Erich Sherer of New York City; stepdaughter Bethann Neumann of Alabama; stepsons Kim Neumann of New Jersey and Carl Neumann of Oregon; sister Aurora Rodriguez; brother Robert Villalva, and 13 grandchildren.
Cremation will take place at FitzHenry's Crematory.
FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
