A memorial service for Louise White, 82, a 16-year resident of Carson City, will be 1 p.m. today at FitzHenry's Chapel of Faith.

Mrs. White died Sept. 6, 2006, in Carson City.

She was born Aug. 24, 1924, to Frank M. Vogan and Daisey Chick in Fawn Creek Township, Kan.

She married Harold White on June 8, 1947, in Pasadena, Calif. Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Covina, Calif.

She was a homemaker, loved arts and crafts and gardening, and assisted many seniors in their everyday lives.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1992, one sister and four brothers.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law David A. and Judy White of Carson City; daughters and sons-in-law Joleen and Tom Witbaard of Chino, Calif., and Mary and Steve Smith of Phoenix; son Steve White of Carson City; companion Gordon Hartley of Carson City; nine grandchildren; three great- grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Carson City Senior Center, 901 Beverly Dr., in her name.

FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
