June V. Hanahan, 85, a five-year Gardnerville resident, died Sept. 5, 2006, at her home.
Mrs. Hanahan was born May 16, 1921, in Cleveland to Henry and Neah Steverding.
She married Walter Hanahan on Dec. 24, 1941, in Cleveland.
Before moving to Gardnerville, Mrs. Hanahan lived in Vallejo, Calif.
She was a high school graduate and a homemaker.
She enjoyed playing bridge, reading mysteries, traveling, and taking cruises.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1983 in Los Altos, Calif.
Among her survivors are her daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Neil Lantz of Gardnerville; and son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Sandi Hanahan of Redding, Calif.
Cremation will take place at FitzHenry's Crematory in Carson City.
FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
