Darrell Rasner will be the starting pitcher today when the New York Yankees travel to face the Toronto Blue Jays in a 4 p.m. game.
Rasner, a 1999 Carson High graduate, will be pitching on three days rest, but he needed just 45 pitches to throw four shutout innings to pick up the win in a 7-4 victory over the Tampa Bay Devil Rays on Thursday. In three appearances this season with the Yankees Rasner is 2-0, allowing just one run in 11.2 innings for a 0.77 earned run average.
