Senators are able to pull it out

The young Carson High volleyball team grew up a little bit on Thursday with a gritty five-game win at North Valleys.

It looked like the Senators were going to roll, but they ended up battling for a 25-7, 25-27, 23-25, 25-14, 15-9 win."It was a great match for us," Carson coach Shana Wilkins said. "We did a good job of pulling it back out. It was good for my kids. it ws a good confidence boost for them."

Lindsay Ford had a huge match with 47 assists, eight aces, two kills and three blocks. Morgan Nuckolls also had an outstanding offensive match with 13 kills. Also for Carson, Kailey Taylor had six kills and two blocks, Nikki Keller had four kills,three blocks and two digs and Blaike King had six kills, two aces, two digs and three blocks.

CHS FROSH 2, NORTH VALLEYS 0

Carson won the freshmen match 25-10, 25-23. Sara Anderson had five aces, five kills and eight assists, Andrea Clutska had two aces, two blocks and six kills, Katie Carlevato had three assists and two aces, Skylar Petersen had five aces and one kill, Bree Young had four aces and 2 kills, Kaitlin Berkich had three digs, Kendra Krupp had two kills and Kelly Kerkla added one ace.
