A Carson City man injured in a rollover accident on Curry Street early Wednesday morning has been identified.

Harry Thompson, 47, remains in the intensive-care unit at Washoe Medical Center with serious injuries sustained when he was ejected during the 4:40 a.m. wreck.

According to Nevada Highway Patrol Trooper Nick Nordyke, Thompson was southbound in a Chevy Camaro when he drifted off the southbound road edge. The front of the vehicle struck a cement jersey wall, causing the vehicle to vault into the air.

Thompson was ejected before the vehicle landed on its roof and slid another 80 feet, coming to rest in the northbound lane directly behind The Brake Team's rear entrance.

There were no witnesses to the accident. Thompson and the wreckage was found by a passer-by. He was unconscious when flown to Washoe Medical Center.

Alcohol appears to be a factor in the accident, said Nordyke.

Anyone with information, or who may have witnessed the accident, is asked to call the NHP at 688-2830.
