Carson High had three teams crack the top five places in the JV coed race Friday during South Tahoe's Retro Relays.

Carson's teams finished second, third and fourth in their JV coed division. The team of Tyler Davies, Mark Neddenriep, Hannah Riedel and freshman Haleigh Ward ran to second-place during a race in which participants ran two-mile legs. The team of Greg Saunders, Andrew Richards, Kelly Brothers and Libby Rheault placed third. The Senators' Riley Borg, Jared Mondragon, Taylor Phillips and Kirsti Walker placed fourth.

"They all ran good legs. They competed well," Carson coach Pete Sinnott said. "It was a good week for us. The kids had a good, hard week of training that's going to help them get ready for these next few weeks leading up to the (Northern 4A) regionals."

Carson competes at the high-powered Stanford Invitational next week and then at the Clovis Invitational one week later.
