(Staff report) - A downed powerline knocked out electricity for some 79 homes near Roop and Colorado streets early Monday morning.
Karl Walquist, spokesman for Sierra Pacific Power Co., said residents of Roop Street, Idaho Street, Hawaii Circle, Utah Street, Birch Street, Arizona Court, Kenny Way, Woodcrest Lane, Marilyns Way and Industrial Park Drive were affected by the outage after the line at Colorado and Roop streets fell down about 4:15 a.m.
Power was restored to all homes by 8:15 a.m.
He said it's unclear why the line fell. The cause is under investigation.
