A funeral Mass for Marylynn Cavender, 83, a Carson City resident from 1993-2003, will be at 12:15 p.m. Wednesday at St. Mary Catholic Church in Eugene, Ore.
Mrs. Cavender died Sept. 22, 2006, in Olympia, Wash. She was born June 24, 1923, in Baca County, Colo., to Jules Libbrecht and Eglantine Carriere.
She married John Davis Cavender on Aug. 12, 1944, in Jerome, Idaho.
Mrs. Cavender was a registered nurse from 1944-69, and ran a business from 1969-87.
She was a cadet nurse from 1941-44, and a life member of Soroptimist International of America.
She enjoyed crocheting, crossword puzzles and golf.
She was preceded in death by her husband, and brother, John Libbrecht.
Among her survivors are her son and daughter-in-law, Dave and Karmie Cavender of Olympia; daughter and son-in-law, Leslie and Brad Pfaff of Walnut Creek, Calif.; sisters Louise Libbrecht of Olympia, Helene Burkhart of Alta Loma, Calif., and Juliette Turner of Newport, Ore.; and four grandchildren.
Funeral Alternatives of Washington is in charge of arrangements.
