The Nevada Printing Office's warehouse, under construction at Stewart and Fifth streets, will be completed by late October, a state representative said Monday.
The 35,000-square-foot building is an addition to the Nevada Printing Office, 301 S. Stewart St. The $4.7 million warehouse will store printing materials and has 10,000-square-feet for offices. It will bring the building's total footprint to 60,000 square feet.
"It's going to be natural colors," said Ed Shaw, representative of the Legislative Counsel Bureau, which owns the building. "The idea was to make it fit in with those state buildings around it."
Wall panels are scheduled to go up July 9, said John Norgard, project superintendent with contractor Miles Construction.
Since the printing facility was moved there in the early 1960s, all storage has been done off site.
