Carson City investigators are looking for information on a gang-related shooting Saturday night in which one man was hit at least twice.
Carson City Sheriff's Lt. Bob White said Raul Perez-Sandoval, 22, was struck in the hand and leg following an 11 p.m. confrontation in the parking lot of the Crossroads Shopping Center on Winnie Lane.
Witnesses reported Perez-Sandoval and another fled the lot immediately following the shooting. He was located by deputies on Lone Mountain Drive. He was eventually transported to Renown Regional Medical Center by helicopter.
White said the victim and unidentified suspect were at the Billares La Raza prior to the shooting.
He said Perez-Sandoval denies knowing why the shooting took place.
"The victim is not being cooperative," White said.
Several shell casings from a .45 cal. semiautomatic handgun were recovered from the parking lot and inside the shattered windows of Curves Gym.
White said the shooter fled in a dark-colored SUV with California plates or a green Jeep Cherokee.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Carson City Sheriff's Department Detective Division at 887-2020 ext. 1400.
