The Cordevista development will be discussed at the Storey County Planning Commission meeting 6 p.m. Friday at the Virginia City Highlands Community Room.
Blake Smith, a Reno developer, wants to build commercial and office projects and more than 8,000 homes on property located about four miles northeast of the Virginia City Highlands.
He is seeking a master plan amendment and zone change from industrial to commercial and single-family residential.
The original meeting was set for April 5, but the meeting was improperly posted in accordance with the Nevada Open Meeting Law, and had to be rescheduled.
The Community Room is behind the fire station on the corner of Lousetown and Cartwright roads.
