A memorial service for Charles Arthur Brandenburg, 74, a 38-year Mound House resident, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Calvary Baptist Church on the corner of Flowery Avenue and Highway 50 in Dayton.
Mr. Brandenburg died April 4, 2007, at his home. He was born Jan. 20, 1933, in Los Angeles, to Delmar Brandenburg and Helen Gilbert.
He was an engineering contractor for 50 years and a member of the Operating Engineers.
He was preceded in death by his father in 1979.
Among his survivors are his mother of Mound House; wife of 55 years, Carol Brandenburg of Mound House; children Sherry Brandenburg Torrero and Pam Brandenburg Trube, both of Mound House, and Judy Brandenburg and Ed Brandenburg, both of Dayton; brother Edwin Brandenburg of Lemon Valley; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and several extended family members.
Cremation will take place at FitzHenry's Crematory.
FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
