Stewart inmate walks away from camp

An inmate from Stewart Conservation Camp walked away from the minimum security prison on Snyder Avenue just before 2 p.m. Monday.

Jahmahl Patterson, 26, was last seen at 1:40 p.m. in a blue Ford Taurus, Nevada license plate 353-RAP. He was wearing a blue shirt and blue jeans.

He is described as a light-skinned black male, standing 5-feet, 7-inches tall and weighing 150 pounds, with dark hair and brown eyes.

Officials have reason to believe Patterson may be traveling to Reno or Sparks.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911.

Patterson is serving 26 to 120 months in prison on a charge of leaving the scene of an accident with injury in relation to an October 2005 incident in which he struck a Carson City deputy with his vehicle.

Patterson is known to use the aliases: Jamah Brown; Jamahl Johnson; Jamane Patterson; Jevell Johnson; Jewell Mahz Johnson; Rivanie Verreman; Rwanie Berreman; Tanzanie Juanda Berreman; Tanzanje Kunda Berreman; Tranzanite Berreman.
