Douglas ended up taking two-of-three in the series with the doubleheader sweep, winning the opener 2-1 and the nightcap 11-8.
David Charles was the tough luck loser, pitching a complete game, allowing three hits and striking out four. Tom Preston was 2-for-4, Tom Purcell had an RBI, Collin Grischott was 2-for-3 and Tyler Hutchins was 1-for-2.
In the nightcap, Nate Reno was 2-for-4 with a double, Brooks Hutchins and Preston each doubled, Cody Barr was 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI and Mason Bondi, Jeff Butler, Blake Plattsmier all had a hit and an RBI. Dustin Buttner struck out four over three innings, David Perce struck out one in one inning and Justin Allbritten finished up, pitching two innings for Carson (16-9, 9-6).
