Carson City


Bill Richardson returns toCarson City today


New Mexico Governor and presidential candidate Bill Richardson will visit Carson City today and Monday. From 7:30-9 p.m. today, he will speak at the Carson City Democrats Jefferson-Jackson Dinner at the Plaza Hotel and Conference Center. Monday morning from 8:30-9:15, he will hold a meet and greet at Comma Coffee. From 9:30-10:30 he will speak with AFL-CIO leaders at the AFL-CIO headquarters on John Street. At 11 a.m. he will speak with Carson High School students and parents on the Darfur situation, and from noon-1 p.m. he will meet with the Nevada Democratic Legislative Congress at the Legislative Building. He will then leave for Las Vegas.


Local pianist to perform at BAC


Rachel Ing, a Reno native, will perform classical music at 2 p.m. today at the Brewery Arts Center, 511 W. King St. Tickets are $15. BAC members, students and seniors receive a $3 discount. For information, call 883-1976.




Senior Center to offer computer classes


The Carson City Senior Citizen's Center will offer two "Introduction to Computer" classes. The first begins Monday and runs through May 23. Classes meet each Monday and Wednesday from 9-11 a.m. The second will begin Tuesday and run through May 24. It will meet each Tuesday and Thursday from 1-3 p.m. The cost is $40 and includes all materials. Classes are limited to eight students each on a first-come, first-serve basis. Cost is $20. Airport Authority to hold Title 19 Workshop meeting on Monday


The Carson City Airport Authority will hold its Title 19 Workshop meeting at 6 p.m. Monday in the Terminal Building at the Carson City Airport. Copies of the published agenda can be obtained at Community Development's offices by calling 887-2180 or on the Web at www.carsoncity-airport.com.

Douglas County Republican Women to meet onWednesday


Hal Hansen, Boys & Girls Club of Western Nevada, and Carol Lark, superintendent of Douglas County schools, will be the featured speakers at the Douglas County Republican Women's meeting Wednesday.
