Nevada Department of Health and Human Services Director Mike Willden has said in a press release the Sierra Regional Center has been awarded a four-year accreditation by the Council on Quality and Leadership, a national organization that for more than three decades has been at the forefront of the movement to improve the quality of services and supports for people with intellectual disabilities and people with mental illness.
Sierra Regional Center, in Sparks, is the state of Nevada operated regional center serving persons with developmental disabilities and their families in Washoe County. For information about the center, go to http://mhds.state.nv.us/src/.
