A celebration of life for Dorothea Mable Pisciotta, 77, a 15-year resident of Carson City, will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Southgate Apartments Clubhouse, 2100 California St.
Mrs. Pisciotta died Aug. 8, 2007. She was born March 21, 1930, to Charles and Blanch Allen in Indianapolis, Ind. She lived in Northridge, Calif., before moving to Carson City in 1992. She worked as a switchboard operator at Encino Hospital for 40 years, retiring at the age of 60. She worked as a dance instructor. She enjoyed dancing, shopping and dining in fine restaurants. She was a member of the Shepherd of the Sierra Church.
She was preceded in death by daughter, Michelle Pisciotta-Wallace; brother Edward Allen and sister, Beatrice Balls.
Among her survivors are her son and daughter-in-law Rick and Karen Marsh of Ontario, Calif.; daughter and son-in-law Carla Ferrigno and Tony Bettencourt of Yreka, Calif.; brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Lillian Allen and five grandchildren.
