Tahoe Trails and Tails benefit is Sunday

The 12th running or walking of the Tahoe Trails and Tails to benefit the Yerington Animal Protection Society's spay/neuter project is Sunday at Spooner Lake State Park.

Bring the kids and the dog and take part in all of the fun. There will be a 10K run, a 5K run and a two-mile walk, so there is something for everyone.

Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. with the races beginning at 9:30 a.m. What makes this event so unique is that you run or walk with your dog. The Carson City Sheriff's Search and Rescue will be on hand to help and will share in the proceeds.
