Volunteers sought for Parks and Recreation Commission

The Carson City Parks and Recreation Commission has an opening for a volunteer member.

The purpose of the commission is to advise the Board of Supervisors on the use of city parks and to protect the right of all residents to enjoy these offerings.

A commitment of up to 10 hours a month is required. The Board of Supervisors appoints qualified people to the commission who are residents of Carson City and registered voters. The term expires in January 2010.

Volunteer applications can be obtained from and returned to the Carson City Executive Offices, 201 N. Carson Street, Suite 2. Applications also can be downloaded at www.carson-city.nv.us
