A sequence of photos of the lunar eclipse, which began at 1:51 a.m. Tuesday, as captured by John Sparbel.

Sparbel used a Nikon digital single-lens reflex camera " 18-200mm " and shot photos about eight minutes apart, with the camera mounted on a tripod.
