The University of Nevada football team made a little history Sunday by being selected to the New Mexico Bowl on Dec. 22 in Albuquerque.
This will be the third straight bowl appearance for the Wolf Pack, a school record.
Nevada topped Louisiana Tech 49-10 on Saturday to finish with a 6-6 record and become bowl eligible.
The Pack, which finished in a three-way tie for fourth place with a 4-4 record in the Western Athletic Conference, entered Saturday's game needing a win and a Hawaii win to be selected for a bowl.
Conference champion Hawaii, the nation's only undefeated team at 12-0, defeated Washington 35-28 and was selected to play Georgia in the Sugar Bowl Jan. 1.
Second-place Boise State (10-2) opted to go to the Sheraton Hawaii Bowl on Dec. 23. The Broncos will meet East Carolina.
Third-place Fresno State (8-4) was selected to play in the Roady's Humanitarian Bowl, where it will face Georgia Tech on Dec. 31.
