Bill Lunde of Las Vegas was the highest finisher among players who made it through the first stage of PGA qualifying at Dayton Valley Country Club at the PGA Tour Qualifying Finals in Florida.
The finals concluded on Monday. Lunde narrowly missed earning his PGA Tour card as he finished tied for 33rd at 12-under-par in the 106-hole event. Lunde missed earning his card by two shots and was under the cut line going into the sixth and final round. Twenty-six players earned their PGA Tour cards.
Lunde was one of 53 players to earn full exempt status on the Nationwide Tour. The remaining players in the field earned conditional status on the Nationwide Tour.
Eight of the 32 players who advanced from Dayton made it to the finals. Other finishes from players from Dayton were:
Alex Prugh, -8, 80th; Matt Bettencourt, -7, 85th; Bradley Iles, -3, 106th; Andres Gonzales, -1, 122nd; Chris Kamin, -1, 122nd; Scott Piercy, -1, 122nd; Seung-su Han, +5, 149th.
Frank Lickliter won the event at 29-under.
