Gretta Irene Withers, 87, beloved mother and grandmother passed away Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2007 in Carson City.
Gretta was born in Osborne, Kan. on June 28, 1920 to John & Dessie Brittain. She was a homemaker and enjoyed oil painting, square dancing and travel. She also loved green olives, chickens and big snowflakes.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, James Dunster in 1965, Ely Withers in 1977 and brothers Vern, Jim, and Johnny Brittain and sister Grace Ward.
Gretta is survived by daughter Joyce Majors and husband Art, daughter Lynda VanZeebroeck and husband John, son Kelly Dunster and wife Debbie, six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Services will be held at Joshua Memorial Park in Lancaster, Calif., Dec. 14, at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, Church Street Station, P.O. Box 780, New York N.Y. 10008-0780.
