Aquatic center expands hours
The Carson Aquatic Facility has expanded its weekday hours for the therapy pool.
Every weeknight except Wednesdays, the therapy pool will be open from 4:30-8:15 p.m. The Aquatic Facility is located at 841 N. Roop St. For information, call 887-2242.
Santa to ride the rails this weekend
Nevada State Railroad Museum hosts Santa Train 9 a.m.-4 p.m.. Dec. today and Sunday. The Santa Train excursion is being offered at a special discounted price of $2 per seat.
The museum is also a drop-off point for the Marine Corps Reserve's annual Toys for Tots.

Thunderbirds coming to Harrah's

Santa visits Washoe Lake
Christmas at Washoe Lake State Park with Santa. Join the Park Rangers and Santa 1-3 p.m. today for an afternoon of horse-drawn carriage rides, refreshments, crafts and games. Bring your camera for a photo of Santa. The event ill be held in a large heated tent at the main park entrance.

Jazz Orchestra playing concert
The 18-piece Reno Jazz Orchestra will play its annual Christmas Concert today at the Sands Regency Casino at 4 p.m. Featured will be holiday music with a Latin percussion accent. Also appearing are vocalist Jackie Landrum and the No Comprende jazz quartet.
Special guests are the Reno Youth Jazz Orchestra to open the show.
Tickets are $25 general admission and $10 for students and are available the door, which opens at 3:30 p.m.

Bingo game scheduled
The Young at Heart Senior Citizens Club Bingo will be 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the Douglas County Senior Center, 2300 Meadow Lane in Gardnerville. Doors open at noon. Coffee and popcorn are free. The snack bar is open for other food.
