Aquatic Facility closed Sundays


The Carson Aquatic Facility will be closed on Sundays through February. The facility will remain open Monday through Saturday and offers open swim, lap swim, exercise classes, weight room and swim lessons. Stop by the Carson Aquatic Facility, 841 N. AARP board meeting at senior center


The AARP Chapter 723 Board of Directors meeting will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Carson City Senior Citizens Center, 911 Beverly Drive, in the Tahoe room. All directors are needed to discuss the Christmas meeting. Call President Jim Baxter at 883-4809.




DAR looking for new members


The Battle Born Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution will meet at noon Wednesday at B'Sghetti's Restaurant, 318 N. Carson St. Women interested in volunteer work involving educational issues, patriotism and history are invited. Genealogical assistance is available for potential members of the DAR. Daughters of Maud holding meeting


The Daughters of Norway Queen Maud Lodge No. 42 will meet 6 p.m. Thursday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 1201 N. Saliman. Asthma expert presents workshop


A free Asthma Education Program will be held 6 p.m. Thursday at Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center's Aspen Room. Patients, family members, and care givers are invited to learn more about treatment and other topics. Presented by a certified National Asthma Education expert. Knitting seminar brings out creativity


Creativity though Knitting and Crocheting will be conducted by Linda Sawtelle 9 a.m.-noon Thursday at the Douglas County Senior Center, 2300 Meadow Lane. December's class will enjoy a tea and complete a quilt. There is no fee for the class but space is limited. To reserve a place or for information, call 783-6455.
