OFFENSE

Quarterback

Jacob Anderson, Galena: He was the Northern 4A co-Offensive Player of the Year and the High Desert League Offensive Player of the Year. He has signed to pitch for the University of Nevada baseball team. Anderson completed 168-of-339 passes for 2,349 yards and 25 touchdowns.

Running back

Brock Peterson, Douglas: The Sierra League Offensive Player of the Year and first-team all-region pick ran for 1,620 yards and 21 touchdowns and was second on the team in receiving with 17 catches for 240 yards. Peterson broke the school record for rushing yards in a single game with 343 against Carson.

Neil Kendricks, Fernley: An all-Northern 3A first team choice.

Receiver

Jason Parkinson, Galena: An all-Northern 4A first team choice. Parkinson caught 64 passes for 862 yards and nine touchdowns.

Steven Blackhart, Galena: He caught 38 passes for 711 yards, averaging 18.7 yards a reception and scored eight touchdowns.

Tight end

Flynn Rice, Truckee: Rice was voted to the Northern 3A first team at tight end. At 6-foot-4, the sure-handed tight end hauled in 11 passes for 153 yards and one touchdown. He also kicked an extra point and played defensive end.

LIne

Mike Colyer, Douglas: Two-time first-team all-region pick who anchored down the Douglas rushing attack, leading the Tigers to 2,465 yards on the ground this season.

Trevor McCarthy, Douglas: First-team all-league pick, a solid blocker off the end.

Caleb Gradert, Carson: An all-league second team pick, Gradert never missed a snap in starting for the last two years on the offensive line for the Senators.

Kevin Hart, Fernley: An all-Northern 3A first team choice.

Kevin Wood, Truckee: Wood, an instrumental player on Truckee's undersized offensive and defensive lines, was voted to the All-League first team as a center. On defense, Wood made 21 tackles - 13 solo, eight assisted - and forced one fumble. He also recorded two sacks.

All-purpose

Chris McBroom, Carson: An all-Sierra League second team choice. He gained 645 yards on 132 carries with six touchdowns and completed 28-of-51 passes for 396 yards and three touchdowns. He added two receptions for 11 yards.

Ryan Roberts, Truckee: Roberts, a junior, was voted to the Northern 3A All-League first team as a wide receiver. Sahlberg's favorite receiver, Roberts led the team with 24 receptions for 455 yards and seven touchdowns. He also rushed for 438 yards and one TD on 50 carries.

DEFENSE

Line

Jeff Nady, Douglas: Nady was a first-team all-region pick at both defensive tackle and punter, along with being named the Sierra League Lineman of the Year. As a tight end, he caught 11 passes for 142 yards and two touchdowns. As a punter, he averaged 38.7 yards a punt, including a number in the 60-plus range. As a defensive tackle, he had 10 sacks and three fumble recoveries.

Matt Kleinfeldt, Carson: An all-league second team choice. Kleinfeldt had 23 tackles, 13 assists, six tackles for loss, two sacks, one caused fumble and one deflected pass.

Levi Stafford, Galena: The Northern 4A Lineman of the Year. Stafford had 241Ú2 tackles, 71Ú2 tackles for loss and 21Ú2 sacks.

Anthony Onstott, Dayton: An all-Northern 3A second team choice.

Linebacker

Brandon Lowrence, Douglas: The senior ended up as a first-team all-region pick at linebacker. He had two sacks on the year and was a force on the outside for the Tigers. He was also strong at fullback, where he ran for 281 yards and three touchdowns and caught six passes for 138 yards and two touchdowns.

Jason Peters, Coleville: Peters keyed Coleville's dream run into the playoffs as the Wolves went 10-1 on the year, winning the Western 1A Division title and clinching the school's first playoff berth in 15 years. Peters had 12 tackles and 36 assists on the year, along with four fumble recoveries and two interceptions. He was an offensive wizard for the Wolves, rushing for 801 yards and 13 touchdowns and passing for 1,777 and 34 touchdowns. He broke all of the school's passing records as a sophomore.

Jake Hess, Galena: An all-Northern 4A first team choice. Hess had 721Ú2 tackles. He's a Division I prospect at fullback and has received an offer from Boise State. Hess rushed for 591 yards on 108 carries, averaging 5.5 yards a carry and scored nine touchdowns. He also caught 11 passes for 91 yards and added another touchdown.

Austin Wilson, Fernley: An all-Northern 3A first team choice.

Ryan Macken, Truckee: Macken was voted Northern 3A Defensive Player of the Year. The junior led the Wolverines with 118 tackles - 70 solo and 48 assisted. Also voted to the All-State first team last year as a sophomore, Macken recovered three fumbles while recording two quarterback sacks and two interceptions. He also scored Truckee's only defensive touchdown and filled in at fullback in short-yardage situations.

Defensive back

Tanner Thomas, Douglas: The second-team all-region pick and first-team all-leaguer came up with four interceptions on the year and returned one for a touchdown.

Pete Lazzari, Galena: An all-Northern 4A first team choice at running back. On defense, Lazzari had 361Ú2 tackles. On offense, Lazzari rushed for 869 yards on 143 carries, averaging 6.1 yards a carry and scored six touchdowns. He also caught 16 passes for 159 yards and added another touchdown.

Jake Mansfield, Galena: An all-Northern 4A first team pick, Mansfield had 291Ú2 tackles and three interceptions.

Trent de Braga, Fallon: An all-Northern 4A first team choice.The Greenwave defensive back, who primarily played safety, was selected first team for both the Northern 4A Region and High Desert League. He was the only Greenwave player selected to the All-Region team. He had 50 solo tackles and 27 assists. He also picked off five passes. On offense, de Braga caught 28 passes for 580 yards.

Specialist

Keven Sahlberg, Truckee: Truckee's fastest player, Sahlberg was voted to the Northern 3A All-League first team as a return specialist and second team as a punter, and made honorable mention at quarterback. With his speed and agility, the senior was always a threat to score on special teams or scramble for a first down from his quarterback position. Sahlberg completed 55 of 112 passes for 11 touchdowns and rushed for 201 yards on 51 carries. He scored five touchdowns.
