A memorial service for Roy P. Partridge, 84, a 26-year Gardnerville resident, will be 4 p.m. Saturday at Coventry Cross Episcopal Church, 1631 Esmeralda Ave., Minden.
Mr. Partridge died Feb. 1, 2007, in Gardnerville.
He was born Aug. 1, 1922, in Mount Pleasant, Texas, to Paul and Tennie Partridge.
He married Vivienne Marie Dean on May 5, 1967.
Before moving to Gardnerville, Mr. Partridge lived in Houston.
He was a high school graduate, and had worked in real estate and construction. He served in the U.S. Air Force for 13 years during World War II and the Korean War.
He was a member of Coventry Cross Episcopal Church, and helped in its thrift shop.
Among his survivors are his wife of Gardnerville; daughters and sons-in-law Stephanie and Tom Hoyle of Gardnerville and Shannon and Brian Krauss of Katy, Texas; son and daughter-in-law, William and Mary Ferguson of Woodbury, N.J.; brothers Billy and Francis Partridge; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two nieces.
Cremation will take place at FitzHenry's Crematory in Carson City.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
