Edd P. Furgerson, 81, a 43-year Carson City resident, died Feb. 5, 2007, in Carson City.
Mr. Furgerson was born Feb. 18, 1925, in Searcy, Ark.
He was married to Mary Reid from 1946-68.
Before moving to Carson City, Mr. Furgerson lived in Montclair, Calif.
He was a builder and developer, and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He was a member of the Builders Association of Western Nevada, and had served as president in 1974, 1979 and 1990.
He was elected to the Nevada Builders Hall of Fame in 2001, and was the national director and Life Spike for the National Association of Home Builders.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Leona Eggiman on Sept. 6, 2002, in Arroyo Grande, Calif.
Among his survivors are his daughters Susan Furgerson of Reno and Patricia Nation of Las Vegas; sister, Lucille Mahaffey; seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
Cremation will take place at FitzHenry's Crematory.
