Julie L. Kidd has joined Carson River Community Bank as its senior vice president and chief financial officer.


Kidd is a 30- year resident of Northern Nevada, and has served as a senior examiner with the Nevada Financial Institutions Division, as well as having been chief financial officer of the Nevada Banking Co., now known as Wells Fargo Bank.




Smith receives engineering award


Shaun Smith, licensed professional engineer, received the Youth Civil Engineer of the Year Award from the Truckee Meadows branch of the American Society of Civil Engineers.


Smith has been an associate and project manager with CFA, Inc. since 2001. He has more than 11 years of experience in civil design.




Greater Nevada hires Gould as vice president of sales


Brian R. Gould joined Greater Nevada Mortgage Services as vice president of sales.


He will be responsible for overall sales activities, including the hiring and supervision of production managers and mortgage consultants. He has been in the mortgage-lending industry for 24 years.




GameTech hires Crawford as VP


GameTech International, a supplier of electronic bingo equipment, has hired Patrick Crawford as vice president of business affairs.


With more than 10 years of professional experience in design, mathematical modeling, engineering project management and product/regulatory compliance, Crawford will be responsible for overseeing the company's compliance, legal and manufacturing operations, as well as being involved with business development and coordination.




Wilson named president of local bar association


James E. Wilson Jr. was elected president of the First Judicial Bar Association on Jan. 26.


He will oversee an association that includes 61 attorneys, judges and other professionals who practice in Carson City and Storey County.




McGann named executive VP for Nevada State Bank


Nevada State Bank has promoted Lowell McGann to executive vice president and chief credit officer.


McGann has worked with the Treasury Department Office of the Comptroller of Currency as a national bank examiner.


He will oversee credit administration for Nevada State Bank, including loan approval and service, construction disbursement and appraisals. He has 38 years of banking experience.




Bank hires vice president of corporate banking group


The Business Bank of Nevada hired Geraldine Cosico-Basin, an experienced banking professional from Southern Nevada, to be vice president and commercial loan officer in the bank's Corporate Banking Group.


She joins the bank with more than 11 years of experience in the industry and assumes a lending position in an area that primarily handles larger corporate lending responsibilities and relationships.
