A funeral for Eugene Edward Newby, 34, a Carson City resident, will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Corpus Christi Catholic Church. A rosary will be said at 7 p.m., and a visitation will be 3-7 p.m. Friday at Autumn Funerals and Cremations, 1575 N. Lompa Lane.
Mr. Newby died Jan. 5, 2007. He was born Aug. 30, 1972, in Mitchell, S.D., to Ronald E. and Esther M. Pruett Newby.
He graduated from Carson High School in 1991. He worked for A Plus Radiator Shop for four years.
He lived in Florida for one year before returning to Carson City.
He was diagnosed with melanoma in 2005.
He enjoyed NASCAR, fishing, camping, riding motorcycles and spending time with family and friends.
Among his survivors are his parents of Carson City; sister Lorinda Escobosa of Carson City, and niece Siana Escobosa.
