Three people were arrested on drug charges in Dayton on Wednesday, including a man who was allegedly armed with a handgun in his waistband while he held a toddler.
The arrests came at the conclusion of a four-month investigation into the sale of marijuana and prescription drugs at 560 Pike Street in Dayton about 3 p.m., according to a press release from the Lyon County Sheriff's Department's Narcotics Division.
On Wednesday, narcotics deputies served a search warrant at the home, and four male suspects were detained next to a garage in the rear yard.
Gabriel Swafford, 32, was allegedly holding a toddler when officers found a .38 cal. revolver under his shirt in the waist band of his pants. He also allegedly had a small quantity of marijuana in his pants pocket.
Eduardo Reyes, 36, was allegedly found to be in possession of quantities of hydrocodone, a pain reliever, and alporazolam, a sedative.
A search of the residence allegedly resulted in the recovery of a quantity of marijuana possessed for sale, an electronic scale, packaging material and numerous additional illegal prescription pills, according to the press release.
During the search of the garage, deputies also allegedly recovered a 2006 Honda motorcycle, which had been reported stolen out of Carson city.
Reyes, who lives at the Pike Street home, was booked into the Lyon County Jail on suspicion of felony maintaining a residence for the purpose of use/sale of a controlled substance, possession of a marijuana for the purpose of sales, two counts of possession of prescription drugs for the purpose of sale, possession of marijuana, possession of a stolen vehicle, unlawful use of marijuana, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and two outstanding misdemeanor warrants. His bail was set at $109,761.
Swafford was booked into the Lyon county Jail on suspicion of unlawful use of marijuana, possession of a concealed weapon, child endangerment and possession of a firearm while under the influence of a controlled substance. His bail was set at $8,632.
Anthony Kendall, 22, of Carson City, was arrested on suspicion of possession of drug paraphernalia and obstructing/delaying arrest. His bail was set at $2,264.
